Choir
The best memories from my time at the conservatory are the ones related to the big choir productions I joined. As a youngster I sang in a choir for years, and from the time I could I started to conduct choirs. For me it is more than just singing together. It is a powerful way to connect and send a message into the universe.
O Rosa Bella
Based on an old Italian poem, this piece is dedicated to the oldest alto singer in the choir I conducted. We sang this song on her funeral.

The lyrics are written by Gerd Van Riel. This piece is my choral 'hit' ;-)
First it was recorded by The Flemish Radio Choir for the World Choir Games 2021. In the meanwhile a lot of others choirs put it on the stand (and giving heartwarming comments) and also BeVocal (the Belgian Youth Choir) made a beautiful recording. Score available
